Raymond Y.T. Chan, LEAMP,OMD has practiced Chinese medicine for 45 years, and is a renowned specialist in the treatment of infertility and gynecological disorders. He was born into a family with a medical tradition. In 1968, he graduated from the Medical School of Shantou University and practiced internal medicine for several years in the state-owned Western China Hospital. He later went abroad to specialize in Chinese medicine at the Macau Institute of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. He was subsequently appointed to teach and supervise clinical medicine upon graduation. Raymond Y.T. Chan, LEAMP,OMD has a strong education and professional training in both Western and Chinese medicine. He advocates a clinical practice of the combining theories of Chinese medicine with the modern science of biomedicine.
Raymond Y.T. Chan, LEAMP,OMD is a diligent learner with a rigorous and practical attitude. Although he has achieved the highest proficiency and recognition in his field of Chinese medical diagnosis and therapy, he is a believer of life-long learning. He uses his spare time outside his busy clinical practice to researching classics, summarizing renowned scholars experiences, and discovering effective folk and cutting edge remedies. He constantly renews his skills and knowledge through rigorous studies, innovative clinical practices, collaborative academic research, and international scholarship and academic exchanges. He pursued further professional training in China at the prestigious educational centers of Chinese medicine: Guangzhou Army General Hospital, Guangzhou Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Science, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Dr. Chan has published papers in the Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, gave a panel speech at the WHO International Congress on Traditional Chinese Medicine, and was appointed as a research fellow of the Chinese Modern Science and Technology Center of Chinese Medicine. During his years of service in the Seattle area, he was interviewed by the local TV Channel KOMO 4 regarding the use and efficacy of acupuncture and oriental medicine.
Raymond Y.T. Chan, LEAMP,OMD is practice focuses both in internal medicine and gynecology. His areas of expertise include musculoskeletal pain and disorders, allergies, depression, diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome, and cancer supportive treatment. Among gynecological disorders, he has successfully treated many patients with menstrual disorders, premature ovarian failure, uterine fibroids, menopause, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, pelvic inflammatory disease, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, habitual miscarriages, and infertility of both male and female origins. In one case, a woman was unable to conceive for 15 years and failed five in vitro fertilization (IVF) attempts.

Raymond Y.T. Chan, LEAMP,OMD actively finds ways to benefit the public by utilizing his specialties and experiences beyond his clinic. In 2006, he cooperated with the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Professor Xiao Cheng-Zhong, the gynecology division chair of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, and developed herbal formulations such as Meno Support (supporting menopause), Mensleve (relieving menstrual pain), and Life Qi (supporting chronic fatigue syndrome). Raymond Y.T. Chan, LEAMP,OMD founded UStrong LLC in 2007 to develop Chinese herbal products. He was invited to attend the Science and Technology Innovation and Development Forum for Top Talents of Inland and Oversea Chinese in 2008. Raymond Y.T. Chan's most current project is preparing his new book Practical Manual of TCM Gynecology.
